Stellenausschreibung: Education Technical Advisor (m/f/d)

About IRC

Over the past 80 years, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) has developed unparalleled expertise in responding to emergencies and helping uprooted communities to rebuild. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC’s mission is to help people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future. The International Rescue Committee Deutschland is part of the IRC global network. The IRC is on the ground in more than 40 countries, providing emergency relief and rebuilding lives in the wake of disaster. The IRC is committed to a culture of bold leadership, innovation in all aspects of our work, creative partnerships and, most crucially, accountability to those we serve.

The IRC’s vision is to lead the humanitarian field by implementing high-impact, cost-effective programs for people affected by crisis and by using our learning and experience to shape policy and practice. To achieve that vision, the IRC’s Technical Excellence (TE) provides technical assistance to IRC’s country program staff and shares what we learn to influence policy and practice.

The Education Technical Advisor (m/f/d) will be responsible for an ECHO-funded grant titled Protective and Adaptive Education Approaches for Children in Emergencies (PEACE), that will take an integrated education and child protection approach to support school-aged girls and boys in Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon to access educational opportunities and improve their academic and social-emotional skills in safe, functional schools and learning spaces. The program has a strong focus on adaptation and innovation.
